Lohan Sister's Startling New Look

Lohan Sister's Startling New Look
The first thing Ali Lohan did when she got signed to a modeling agency was obtain ... an entirely new face?

The 17-year-old sister of Lindsay and daughter of Dina stepped out in Beverly Hills yesterday looking, in all honesty, like a surgically altered version of her former self. Lohan's lips and cheeks appear fuller and her nose narrowed and tweaked. Her eyebrows are bushier and more defined, exuding that '80s Brooke Shields
quality that's trendy this moment. She looks shockingly skinny, as if attempting to mimic the lanky, size-00 frame of a high-fashion runway model.

Vh1's The Fab Life notes: "We'd love to believe her almost-unrecognizable new face is due to some sculpting makeup, Lip Venom and masterful eyebrow threading, but we're skeptical."

Lohan inked a contract with NEXT Model Management last month, and it appears she's taking her new career path very, very seriously. Like, "I'm gonna go out and get a face transplant" seriously.

In the name of Heidi Montag, someone please tell Hollywood to handcuff Dina Lohan and outlaw underage plastic surgery while they're at it because another naive, misguided Lohan girl has become catnip to the snarking interwebs. Quips the Best Week Ever blog: "Maybe now that she's a model, Ali has decided to exchange being cute with, like, paying tribute to Michael Jackson by ... becoming him?"

10 Most Powerful Hollywood Actors

10 Most Powerful Hollywood Actors

These are the most powerful actors of Hollywood to date who rule the industry by their extraordinary style and and extreme talent.

 Johnny Depp

Whether he’s a mad hatter, a pirate or an animated chameleon, Depp’s presence in a movie guarantees a box office bump. Just look at Rango, an odd animated movie about a fish-out-of-water lizard. It grossed $240 million on an estimated budget of $135 million. His film The Tourist, in which he played an average fellow opposite Angelina Jolie, earned a healthy $280 million thanks in part to Depp’s international appeal. (Link)

Leonardo DiCaprio

This last year was a big one for DiCaprio. After a string of movies that failed to wow at the box office (like Body of Lies), he had big hits with Shutter Island and Inception. The latter grossed $825 million at the global box office making it the 6th highest grossing film of 2010. (Link)

Adam Sandler

One of Hollywood’s highest earners, Sandler is a reliable funnyman whose audience is undaunted by terrible reviews. Case in point: his recent film Grown Ups. The movie earned a horrible 10 out of 100 on movie review website Rotten Tomatoes but it brought in $271 million at the box office making it Sandler’s highest grossing movie to date. (Link)

Brad Pitt

Pitt has become as active a producer as he is an actor. His company, Plan B, was behind last year’s Kick-Ass and Eat Pray Love, which starred Julia Roberts. The actor hasn’t appeared on screen since 2009’s Inglourious Basterds (which earned a healthy $320 million at the global box office) but he voiced do-gooder Metro Man in DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind opposite Will Ferrell.. (Link)

  Robert Pattinson

With the end of the Twilight franchise in sight, Pattinson is preparing himself for a post-vampire career. The romance Remember Me earned only $56 million but that’s not bad considering the film had a tiny budget of $16 million. Water for Elephants, costarring Reese Witherspoon, also performed decently at the box office proving that audiences are willing to accept Pattinson as more than an undead heartthrob. (Link)

 Tom Hanks

Hanks hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2009’s Angels & Demons but his voice was one of the main attractions of 2010’s Toy Story 3 where he starred as head toy, Woody. Toy Story 3 was the highest grossing film of the year with $1 billion in box office revenue. Through his Playtone Productions Hanks also produces TV shows like the recently ended Big Love and the HBO movie version of the book Game Change. (Link)

Will Smith

Smith returns to our list this year thanks to the upcoming Men in Black III where he’ll reprise his role as Agent J. Smith had fallen off of our list in 2010 because he took time off to nurture the budding careers of his children Jaden and Willow. Jaden starred in a remake of The Karate Kid which Smith produced (the film earned $360 million). Smith helped Willow with her hit song “Whip My Hair.” The video for the song has been viewed 11 million times. (Link)

Robert Downey Jr

Downey continued his comeback this year with Iron Man 2. The sequel outearned its 2008 predecessor by $57 million bringing in $622 million globally. Downey’s non-franchise movie this year, Due Date, also impressed earning $211 million at the box office. But that doesn’t mean he’s giving up Iron Man or Sherlock Holmes. Expect plenty more of both. (Link)

Ben Stiller

With a 9 out of 100 rating on the Rotten Tomatoes movie review site, Little Fockers was among the worst reviewed movies of the year. No matter. It earned $310 million at the global box office. Much of that is due to Stiller’s everyman appeal. In 2010 he balanced out his big budget comedies with the low-key Greenberg which earned only $6 million, but rave reviews from the critics. (Link)

Mark Wahlberg

Wahlberg wasn’t nominated for an Oscar for his work in The Fighter but he helped lead his co-stars Christian Bale and Melissa Leo to gold with his heartfelt performance. The film earned an impressive $130 million at the box office. Wahlberg is also a busy TV producer with four shows in various stages of production at HBO. (Link)

Celebrities including Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato and Katy Perry have taken to their Twitter accounts to celebrate the news that terrorist Osama Bin Laden has been killed.
The news broke online earlier today, and US President Barack Obama confirmed that Bin Laden was dead in a live press conference.
Lady Gaga wrote on her Twitter account, "Just landed. Watching CNN, what a historical moment in the fight against hatred."

US President Barack Obama confirmed the news of Bin Laden's death during a live press conference. Bin Laden was reportedly shot during a U.S.-led military mission earlier on Sunday and his body is currently in U.S. custody. DNA tests have confirmed his identity.

The Al-Qaeda leader, 54, is believed to have been the mastermind behind the tragedy of 9/11, when two airplanes crashed into the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the worst terrorist atrocities in the country's history.

Paris Hilton style gets upstaged

Paris Hilton's style gets upstaged

One way to make a statement on the red carpet? Wear an attention-grabbing magenta leopard-print frock! Both celebutante Paris Hilton and "Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto donned the same stunning Marchesa dress for different events. Question is ... who wore it better?

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton rocked the Marchesa Resort 2011 dress in February for the launch of her “Passport” fragrance collection in Riverside, California. The starlet, who will soon headline the reality series “The World According to Paris,” accessorized with simple nude pumps and a wavy, side-swept ‘do.
Way back in September 2010, Pinto wore the same gown for a dinner to celebrate the premiere of her film “Miral” at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada. Freida paired her one-shoulder satin organza dress with purple Ferragamo pumps and a black-and-silver studded clutch.
The dress suits both ladies beautifully, but Freida’s dark tresses and gorgeous skin tone really make the dress pop, and her color-coordinated heels are the perfect accessory. For me, Ms. Pinto wins this battle hands down.

Hollywood actors real names

Hollywood actors real names

While rummaging in the Yahoo! cupboard for a pair of purple flip flops and a promotional beach ball to take to the beach, we stumbled across a treasure chest of names that no one really recognised.

After delving a little deeper we found that they are actually the real names of the hottest Hollywood stars. Here’s what we found:

Jennifer Aniston - Jennifer Anastassakis
Not the wildest change of name, as it sounds as though it stemmed from a fairly lazy teacher who couldn’t be bothered to ask how to pronounce it. Either that of Jennifer couldn't pronounce it herself. They are the only possible explanations.

Nicolas Cage - Nicolas Kim Coppola
With Nic Cage’s recent spell in a police cell, this change of name seems fairly ironic. Maybe it was all part of his master plan to distance himself from the Coppola family.

Michael Caine - Maurice Joseph Micklewhite
Probably one of the wisest name changes in the history of letters. Maurice Micklewhite sounds more like a killer in ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ rather than a talented actor. The name would have helped him get an endorsement deal with M&Ms though. Swings and roundabouts we guess.

Michael Keaton - Michael John Douglas
Quite clearly a ploy to steer clear of a case of mistaken identity. He might have accidentally won an Oscar though.

Marilyn Monroe - Norma Jean Mortenson - Norma Jean Baker
One of the most iconic names in cinematic history is one just plucked from the air before her first audition. A bit disappointing, much like the Enigma… or ‘The Tourist’.

Natalie Portman - Natalie Hershlag
Natalie probably spotted the iconic Sun-pun headlines coming a mile off on this one and took decisive and much needed action.

Bruce Willis - Walter Bruce Willis
Walter? WALTER? His entire effortless cool and action hero swagger has been sabotaged by name terrorists. Get that white (and then immediately brown) tank top back on Bruce and save the day again!

Whoopi Goldberg - Caryn Elaine Johnson
If you could choose your name to any name in the world, who else would have landed with ‘Whoopi’? So ridiculous you thought that it couldn’t be made up. It can and it was. She now kind of sounds like an ice cream. Perfect for the current heat-wave.

Tom Cruise - Thomas Mapother IV
Gosh, doesn’t Tom Cruise’s real name sound a bit posh? Maybe he should have kept his birth name, then he would have been slated for that rather than his movies.

John Wayne - Marion Morrison
Everybody’s favourite cowboy, John Wayne, starred on top of many a horse back in the day. Any self respecting steed would have bucked off a man named Marion Morrison so it probably best he went for the change.

Other surprising real names:
Danny DeVito - Daniel Michaeli
Kirk Douglas - Issur Danielovitch Demsky
Ben Kingsley - Krishna Banji
Judy Garland – Frances Gumm
Jamie Foxx - Eric Marlon Bishop
Bob Hope - Leslie Townes Hope
Jodie Foster – Elisabeth Foster
Meg Ryan - Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra
Charlie Sheen - Carlos Irwin Estevez
Christopher Walken - Ronald Walken
Gene Wilder - Jerome Silberman
